What is a wallet pass?

A card saved in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. It can hold a membership, a loyalty balance, a ticket or almost anything else, along with a barcode or QR code. Customers keep it next to the cards they already carry.

Do my customers need to install an app?

No. They open the pass link on their phone and add it to their wallet. Apple Wallet comes with compatible iPhones; Android customers use Google Wallet.

Can I use TapAce without writing code?

Yes. You can design templates and issue passes from the dashboard. Developers can connect their own systems through the API, and both work with the same templates.

Can a pass change after someone saves it?

Yes. You can update a pass after it has been issued, so a balance or a renewal date stays current. When the change shows up depends on the wallet platform, the device's connection and the kind of change.

What do I need to issue live passes?

An Apple pass certificate for Apple Wallet and a Google Wallet issuer account for Google Wallet. Signing setup is separate from template design, so you can build and test your pass first.
