# Get event details

> Returns an event ticket template's event details and its latest saves.

An event ticket template keeps one set of event details: the event's name, venue and times. They aren't part of the template's design, so changing them doesn't create a new revision. Fields bound to an event detail show it on every pass. To change them, [save event details](https://tapace.lk/docs/api-reference/templates/save-event.md).

Event details are shared by test and live, like the template itself.

**templateId** `string` *required*

The template ID. The template must be an event ticket.

## The event details object

**templateId** `string`

The template the details belong to.

**event** `object | null`

The current details, or `null` when none are saved. Every property is optional.

**properties**

**name** `string`

The event's name, up to 120 characters.

**venue** `object`

`name` (up to 120 characters), `address` (up to 300 characters) and `location`, with `latitude` and `longitude`.

**doorsOpen** `string`

When doors open, as a date and time with a timezone offset, such as `2026-11-02T18:00:00+05:30`.

**start** `string`

When the event starts, in the same format. It can't be before `doorsOpen`.

**end** `string`

When the event ends, in the same format. It can't be before `start`.

**doorsOpenLabel** `string`

`doorsOpen` to label the opening time "Doors open", or `gatesOpen` for "Gates open".

**timezone** `string`

The event's timezone, such as `Asia/Colombo`.

**updatedAt** `string | null`

When the details were last saved.

**updates** `array`

The 20 latest saves, newest first. Each is an [event update](https://tapace.lk/docs/api-reference/templates/save-event.md#the-event-update-object).

### Errors

| `400` | The template isn't an event ticket. |
| `404` | The template doesn't exist. |
