# Delete a pass

> Removes a pass and its history from your account.

Deleting is final and takes effect at once. The API and the dashboard stop returning the pass, its link stops working, and you stop receiving webhooks for it. An active pass is voided first, so the holder's wallet shows it as void. The pass stays on the holder's phone until they remove it.

The pass ID.

A unique value for this request.

### Response

**passId** `string`

The deleted pass.

**environment** `string`

`test` or `live`, from your API key.

### What happens to the data

TapAce keeps the record for 30 days so phones that were offline can still receive the void, then removes it along with the pass's history. A pass with a wallet update still being delivered is removed once that finishes. Google Wallet has no delete, so its copy of the pass stays inactive.
