# Cancel a scheduled notification

> Stops a scheduled notification from being sent.

Only a `scheduled` notification can be cancelled. One that has started sending can't be recalled.

**id** `string` *required*

The notification ID.

**Idempotency-Key** `string` *required*

A unique value for this request.

### Response

Returns the [notification](https://tapace.lk/docs/api-reference/notifications/get.md) with `status` set to `cancelled`.

### Errors

| Status | When |
| - | - |
| `404` | The notification doesn't exist. |
| `409` | It has already started sending or was cancelled. |
